I've been in the IT field for 15 years. For the past 8 years, I've concentrated on Computer and Network Security. I teach and lecture internationally, and my consulting clients include Fortune 1000 companies, Wall Street firms, public utilities and the US Military. My writing credits include being a contributing editor for Information Security Magazine.
I hold several security certifications, including CISSP, GSEC, GCUX, GCIH and GSNA. Yes, I'm proud of them. No, I don't think letters behind my name are reason enough to hire and/or listen to me. Judge me on my work.
Speaking of work, I'm President of my own consulting company, Vorant Network Security. I'm also a member of the Sguil project team, and curator of this wiki. If you're interested in what I do, I recommend checking out my blog Infosec Potpourri.
